🎨 Inspired by the new album This Music May Contain Hope. by British singer Raye, I created this illustration! It’s my first attempt at capturing the feeling of a medieval illuminated manuscript, weaving elements from her music into the imagery. Her hopeful lyrics feel like bandages, stitching together a broken yet still burning heart.
💧After being shelved by her former label for seven years—forced to give her songs to other artists—struggling with substance dependence and spiraling into despair, she has finally risen again. She is often compared to the incredibly talented Amy Winehouse. They share so many similarities, but this time, she made it through.
